Precautions for Processing Materials with a Homogenizing Emulsifier

If abnormal noise or other common malfunctions occur during the operation of a homogenizing emulsifier, the equipment must be shut down immediately for inspection and can only be restarted after the malfunctions are eliminated. After shutdown, the working chamber, as well as the stator and rotor, shall be cleaned thoroughly.

If the process working chamber is equipped with an optional thermal insulation layer for cooling or heating materials, inject the cooling liquid or heat transfer oil first before startup. For the thermal insulation interlayer with a working pressure ≤ 0.2Mpa, when processing materials with temperature requirements (e.g., asphalt), heat or cool it to the normal operating temperature, then turn the equipment manually and start it up.

When the homogenizing emulsifier is used in flammable and explosive working environments, an explosion-proof motor of the corresponding grade shall be selected.

After production is completed, the equipment must be cleaned thoroughly to maintain the working efficiency of the stator and rotor and protect the mechanical seal. If necessary, a set of circular cleaning equipment may be designed and installed.

According to the different media used by customers, clean the inlet and outlet filters regularly to prevent the reduction of feed rate from affecting production efficiency. Materials entering the working chamber must be in a fluid state; dry powder, lumps and other such materials are not allowed to enter the equipment directly, otherwise the equipment may be dampened and damaged.

The stator and rotor of the homogenizing emulsifier shall be maintained regularly. If excessive wear is found, replace the corresponding parts in a timely manner to ensure the dispersion and emulsification effect.

If liquid leakage is found on the shaft during operation, adjust the mechanical seal pressure after shutting down the equipment.

Before using this equipment, formulate the corresponding safe production operating procedures to ensure the safety of operators and the equipment. Customers shall install a safety protection system for the electrical control system, and the electric motor shall be reliably earthed.
