Classification of Filling Machines

Filling machines can be classified by filling principle into atmospheric pressure filling machines, pressure filling machines, liquid filling machines, oil filling machines, paste filling machines, sauce filling machines, granule and slurry filling machines, powder filling machines, large-barrel water filling machines and vacuum filling machines.

Atmospheric Pressure Filling Machine

The atmospheric pressure filling machine performs filling by the self-weight of liquids under atmospheric pressure. This type of filling machine is further divided into two categories: timed filling and fixed-volume filling. It is only suitable for filling low-viscosity, gas-free liquids such as milk, Chinese liquor, mineral water and so on.

Pressure Filling Machine

Filling is carried out under a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure, and it can also be divided into two types: One is isobaric filling, where the pressure in the liquid storage cylinder is equal to that in the bottle, and the liquid flows into the bottle by self-weight for filling; the other is that the pressure in the liquid storage cylinder is higher than that in the bottle, and the liquid flows into the bottle by pressure difference, which is the method mostly adopted in high-speed production lines. Pressure filling machines are suitable for filling gas-containing liquids such as beer, soda water, champagne and the like.

Vacuum Filling Machine

Filling is conducted under a pressure in the bottle lower than atmospheric pressure. This type of filling machine features a simple structure and high efficiency, and has a wide adaptability to the viscosity of materials. It can be applied to filling oil products, syrup, fruit wine and various other materials.
